RAW to JPEG keeping develop adjustments

Jun 18, 2012 11:05 AM

Supose I would like to convert my RAW files to JPEG (not export them!) in Lightroom, so that the RAW files would get replaced by the JPEG files, but keeping the whole history of adjustments once made to the RAW files on the develop panel.

Is this possible?

Thanks.

    I don't know if it's possible, but - why?

And why would you want to replace raw files with jpegs?

You would be far wiser to converting them to Lossy DNG as that can be done directly (as opposed to exporting to JPEG and replacing your Raw files). This gives you the space savings of JPEG while maintaining some of the flexibility of Raw.
