While in Develop... how to keep the same treatment tool while scrolling through images.  example- I have the Tint selected but when I move to the next image the Exposure is then selected.

It doesn't function that way. When you move to the next image the "selected" tool is not kept selected.

You can apply the same settings that you did for one image to several other images by selecting them all but keeping the first one active (in the filmstrip it has a lighter shade of grey than the other selected images) and then click on <Sync>. A dialog will pop up that lets you choose and select which settings (i.e. which tools) you want to sync. By clicking <OK> the settings of the fisrt image will be applied to all selected images.

    What OS?

On my Win7 system LR4 works the same as LR3, i.e. whatever tool is selected remains selected when moving to the next image.

    Clarification:

On my Win 7 64-bit it works with Crop- and Clone tool, with AdjBrush and GradFilter, i.e. they stay active when moving to another image. But it doesn't work with Tint as in White Balance - or what "Tint" did you mean?

I'm curious because it never worked fro me: In what way do they stay active? You highlight the numbers and in the next image the numbers are also highlighted?

    W-W, try this:

In develop, select an image in the filmstrip and in the Basic panel click on any slider name, e.g. Highlights. When you click on the slider you'll get a brief pop-up message to say "Modify Highlights with the +/- Keys"....so do that, i.e. use those +/- keys to make an adjustment to the Highlights.

Then, click on the next photo in the filmstrip (or use the right-arrow key), and then without clicking on any sliders simply use the + or - key. Which slider moves? On my Win7 system it'll be the Highlights, but the OP says on his (Mac) system it'll be the Exposure slider, which is not what he wants.

    jim01403,

Thanks for you instructions. I never knew this. My favorite method is highlighting the numbers to the right of the sliders and using the arrow keys.

But your method works just fine. When I select another image the same slider that was selected with the previous image is moving.

    Dorin,

Mine stays selected, too - as already said. But the OPs doesn't.

Do you think it could be a case of "funny" Preference File?

Dunno, maybe. Or maybe Mac vs Win.

    Sent from phone.

Mine stays as selected with Tint or Contrast, etc

    Mac 10.7.4 - Lr4.1

Try removing the Preference file to the desktop with Lr closed and restart.
