Acrobat was working fine this afternoon, but this evening, it won't open at all. I went to Word and tried to convert a document use pdf maker. An error popped up stating that acrobat is not activated (it was this afternoon...and all of the other CS6 applications are runing and are activated). I have no way to check this or fix it because I can't open the program. I have tried repairing the program, but repairing it has no effect. I tried restoring the system to an earlier date, but that also had no effect.
I don't know what to do. I can even open the program to debug it. ANY suggestions would be appreciated.
Did you uninstall the CS6 Photoshop beta (if you had it installed) prior to installing CS6? Here is a link to the uninstall procedure:
One suggestion from the CS6 forum is to use Adobe Photoshop CS6 (64-bit) as the starting point then run Help > Deactive, restart the application, enter license from this discussion thread.
I have the exact same issue. Started yesterday. Cannot create .pdf from Microsoft Word. Also cannot open a .pdf from the desktop (double click) if Adobe Acrobat Pro (CS6) is set as the default application for this file type. The same issue has appeared on both my laptop and desktop machines (both using same licence key in accordance with the EULA)

I did a Google search on this problem. On one thread (where and Adobe
moderator contributed comments), I found that Adobe was made aware of
this problem in 2009, but it was unable to reproduce the problem, so it
wasn't able to provide a fix. Apparently that is still the case. One
theory is that the problem occurs about 30 days after installation (in
my case it was 38 days), suggesting that it is a foul up of the
activation key. In any event, I went to the uninstall programs dialog,
specifically uninstalled Acrobat X (it should be listed separately from
the CS6 program). After uninstalling then rebooting, I inserted the CS6
disk, and put a check box next to the Acrobat program (left all the
other applications unchecked), then clicked next to install Acrobat.
Acrobat X installed without problem; I rebooted and now it works
flawlessly. The interesting thing to see is whether this problem occurs
in another 30 or so days.

I wonder if you're going to have to do this every 30 or so days...when
the "trial ware" would otherwise expire. It sound like the issue is
specifically related to activation of the AcrobatX software.
Another solution I found is to specifically uninstall Acrobat (not other
CS6 products), reboot, then reinstall Acrobat (not the other apps on the
