Content moving above header?

So I have two issues.

On this portfolio page, the content is above (z-indexed) above the nav bar...I can fix this in CSS when I upload the final product but hopefully I can do it in Muse?

 

As well, the content goes to the very top of the browser. I want it to dissappear when it goes above the header. I want the anchors to be at the top of the content area, not hte top of the browser page.

Maybe I don't understand the 'top of page' and 'header guides'? (see attached)

    Hi,

     

    Apparently, you have the Header Navigation on the master page and that is the reason why the content on the page is coming on the top of the content on the master page. This is similar to the problem faced by another community user with the tool tip here, http://forums.adobe.com/message/4467274#4467274

    Interesting! Sure enough, that was it. Any ideas about having the content stay withing a constrained area / disappear when it overflows?

    If you are referring to a specific section of page having scrollbars so that more content can be placed in that section without changing the size of the section [container], then that at the moment can only be achieved using an iframe [use the Insert HTML feature]. All other containers and frames scale up to show all the content that they contain.

    I am not actually, my content goes above my header when I click on an anchor. Is there not a content container? So. In 1.jpg, this is the portfolio page. When I click on professional experience, then 2.jpg happens. I need it to stay below the menu : )1.jpg

    If I understand your goal correctly, you can achieve the effect of content disappearing before it reaches the menu by putting a white rectangle under the menu and under your decorative wind lines. You can even make the rectangle fill into a gradient so it gradually fades from white to transparent to give the illusion that the text is fading out rather than cutting off sharply.

     

    Just make sure those 3 elements are above your content and not on your master page.

     

    For anchors, the browser will always attempt to put them in the upper left corner, so if you want the content to stop at a lower location, move the anchors up an amount equal to the height of the white rectangle in the previous paragraph.

    Perfect! I will be happy when this is an included feature and I don't have to wory about reordering the z indexes of certain items. I also didn't know about the anchor browser left corner thing so that was a great fix! AWESOME job there STJ!
