Pano2VR

Jun 19, 2012 9:22 AM

Hi All

so I'm experimenting with Pano2VR and I was wondering if anyone had any tips

I've seen the post written on the DPS tips website, but it's a little... vague

Also my UI looks different like...

Screen shot 2012-06-19 at 17.20.33.png

I don't have the just export to an image option - it is either:- flash, html5, quicktime or transformation.

Which is okay, as the images are exported as jpgs for the HTML5 so I can find them and use them within DPS - but it behaves very differently!

Just wondering if anyone had any good up to date resources I could have a flick through.

Thanks for any help

Tim

in output format choose transformation, click add, then choose correct format in types (cube sides - i have different language than English, so i don't know exact name of this item) and correct size - i suggest 800-1000 px for side of square. Then just export to png and import to ID Overlay creator.

Does anybody know of a good video tutorial about how to use Pano2VR or any other software like this? Or tips on how to make/match a perfect 6 images for a Panorama?

    Thanks!

There is an article and a video posted in the "Adobe recommends" section of this help page:

    Hi Tiim,

If you drag your Equirectangular Image onto the area that says, "Drag your Panorama Here" the 'Convert Input' button becomes active and you can export to a number of different formats including Cube Faces. You can set the cube face size, format, quality etc it's pretty straight forward.

If you go the other route and use the HTML5 output then you get a bit more control over your cube images including the ability to change the tile (cube) quality per tile. You can just throw away the html and javascript files Pano2VR generates if you are just going to add them via an overlay.

There is an HTML5 Video Tutorial at http://gardengnomesoftware.com/tutorial.php?movid=17 and a
