Error initializing Java Runtime Environment

When launching Flash CS5 w/ MAC OSX 10.6.8, I am now getting this message - "Error initializing Java Runtime Environment You may need to reinstall Flash".

 

All possible solutions that I have found deal only with the Windows environment, I am looking for a solution in the Mac environment. Any help in solving this is much appreciated.
