Anyone had any problems with the mandatory update?

The mandatory panel update will not be available until about 7:00 PM PDT (11 or 12 hours from now).

Hi Bob,

My colleague has tried to update her builder panel and when she clicks the link to update, this page appears. See Below. Any suggestions.

Also had this issue today - I got the message telling me to update but it linked me to the MAY update of the folio builder panel

it downloaded, installed and worked - but I don't think I'm on the right builder

It's great to know that the mandatory update is going swimmingly again after last months cafuffle.

please make sure to grab the latest and right versions from
digitalpublishing.acrobat.com.
that seems to be a reliable place to grab the latest tools.

alternatively, you can watch the adobe.com/downloads page for new downloads.

I used the links in the dps help article to update the tools and panel:

She was using the link that appeared in the builder panel in Indesign

yes that link is wrong and pointing to the wrong tools from a wrong version
for the wrong indesign version (at least for CS6). grab the right downloads
at digitalpublishing.acrobat.com

Without sounding the obvious but shouldn't that link be taken down or replaced with the upto date link pointing to the newest downloads?

Were you on CS6 prerelease? We've had a known issue with the link when a prerelease CS6 panel was installed and upgraded to the CS6 GM.

No I'm on CS6 general release, jumped straight from CS5 to CS6.

Thanks for letting us know. This is a widely reported bug that the team is trying to fix. The workaround is to use the installation links on the DPS Dashboard, the Adobe Downloads page, or the install help topic.

I downloaded and installed the latest updates for CS5.5, but in InDesign I keep getting a message on the folio builder panel that I need to upgrade. The link goes to the update I just downloaded and installed which is the current one posted yesterday. Seems like InDesign is not recognizing the new plugin. I've tried to reinstall several times, restart my computer and even cleared the PRAM. Anyone else having a similar issue? I also still have CS5 installed on my machine. Might there be some conflict?

Did you install the Folio Builder panel update?

Please note that there's also a Producer tools update that only updates the folio producing tools.

forgive me i didn't see this thread til after posting the same issue.

But i am still trapped in the same loop as Nick

Perhaps because I'm on Creative Cloud version of InDesign 6?

When I chose Help > Updates in ID CS6 this morning, I was prompted to install the DPS Desktop Tools, but I didn't download InDesign through Creative Cloud. I'll ask around to see if we can reproduce the problem.

More of a clue..

When I manage preferences on Adobe Application Manager having launched it from the Help Menu

Adobe inDesign 6 is not on the list of my available updates!

I have Audition/Bridge/Edge/Photoshop...but no inDesign

Right, that's a known bug. Until it gets resolved, download the installer from the DPS Dashboard or the Adobe Downloads page.

from my other post...

If I try to update Folio Builder directly from the panel I get a web page 404.

If I manually download and install the patch by following the links from Folio Producer

Version 2.02
Name Size Date
DPS Desktop Tools for InDesign CS6 - all languages 34.4MB 6/19/2012

AdobeDigitalPublishingPatch-All.dmg

I get an error from Adobe Application Manager that says

"Update Failed

Updates could not be applied

This patch is not applicable for you. Please check for updates from the help menu..."

If I check for Updates from Help menu

Adobe Application Manager says

" Your Applications are all up-to-date as checked: less than a minute ago"

But I still can't sign in from Folio Builder panel.
