How to create animations

Hi all,

 

I would like to know about how to create animations in photoshop. Then what is the best type for saving animated image in photoshop. according to my knowledge best type is .gif . but how to view animated gif in win XP/7.

 

Help me.

    Have you even checked out the Help or googled something like »photoshop animation tutorial«?

     

    What do you want to make exactly?

    gif would be OK, I guess, for small and not too long animations intended for web-pages, longer animations might merit being exported as quicktime movies or H.264 (File > Export > Render Video).

    I'm using photoshop cs6. i'm going to create animation using timeline panel. i'm search in the internet about animations tutorials in photoshop. i have some doubtful things in my timeline

     

    this is my timeline in cs6

    what the different between those timelines. i used my new profile preset as film & video.

     

    yes i like to create final output as small gif images. but i try to save as option in photoshop. save as > CompuServe GIF. after creating it, it's not animated.

    Check the timelien mode in the flyout menu. Yours is set to frame by frame animation, the otehrs are using interpolated animation.

    The Timeline Panel can be used to work with two different options: Frame Animation and Timeline.

    this is my timeline with flyout. but theres no interpolated animation option.i think the question is my photoshop cs6 is not Extended version.

    Hello:

    Not anymore: before CS6, only extended had the timeline animation, while the frame by frame is available in both versions.

    To switch to timeline mode, Isn't it in Panel options? (I don't have CS6 on this machine yet)

    Go to File-Save For Web & Devices... set it to GIF in the drop-down list on the top right and check the bottom right of the Save for web dialog box for looping options for your animation.
