Are CS 3.0 and CS 6 compatible

I have a user who built a bunch of files in CS 3.0, but now we have upgraded to CS 6.  Can he open those files in CS 6?

    They SHOULD open just fine.

    While Bob is correct, there have been enough posts since the release of CS5 about problems that develop with converted CS4 and CS5 files (often at the point of PDF Export) that I strongly advise that you export .inx from CS3 and open that for conversion instead.
