How does dreamweaver cs6 remember window size and position, like in CS5.5, CS5, CS4 etc.
I need more than one window the same time on the monitor, side by side, not stacked.
Has anyone tryed to open 5 windows the same time, without tabs?
It is not possible to scale them down manually because the grip leaves the monitor.
I would also like to know how to get windows to remember the window size. In CS5 I would open a file, set the edit window set a certian size and it would remember that size even when I restart the program. CS6 opens each new file in a full width window if no other files are open. Is this a bug in CS6?
Count me in too. It's a huge pain! I'm sure this is a bug, as I never had trouble with prior versions.
Another issue I'm having is the outline of the "Application Bar" appears (I have it turned off). The only way I've found to get rid of it is to switch it on, then off again.
Yes, same issue here, just looking to see if there's a fix. I have the application frame turned off, and every time I open a new file it opens fullscreen. Never done this in previous versions so I'm guessing it's a bug.

I've filed a bug report. I wonder how many people have reported this bug. There has been no update to Dreamweaver in quite some time. This bug makes Dreamweaver CS6 completely unusable for me. I'm using CS5 until this bug gets fixed.
I have the same problem. I have the latest Dreamweaver installed on my Mac through Creative Cloud. I can't figure out how to create a workspace that will keep the main Dreamweaver window from taking up the entire CPU. I've tried over and over again to create a new workspace, but CS6 doesn't remember the setting. This is driving me nuts! Is there a fix for this?
I don't know about "unbelievable" per se, they have to prioritize their resources and I'm guessing a nuisance window opening behavior in the non-current version of the software is pretty low in the stack of known issues for the DW dev team.
For what it's worth, it functions exactly as requested in DWCC.
Well, it was the 'current version' for a long time, and this is more than a "nuisance", when people say it is driving them nuts, and all previous versions of the software didn't have this problem. How in the world can it "function exactly as requested"? Requested by whom? Who in their right mind would ever request for a window position to NOT be remembered?
And, for what it's worth, I can say definitively that I will never buy another Adobe product, now that it seems subscription plans are the only option, since that is far more expensive and doesn't allow me to keep my software forever.
I have same issue in both instances of DW CS6 on my computers. Window size is not remembered, just maximizes, and there doesn't seem to be a way to set. Are there any fixes to this issue, as far as you know?
Thanks so much,
Sorry, that doesn't work for what we're describing. Your suggestion works IF you're using the Application Frame. If DON'T use the Application frame, and want each page to open in a window, and then, after you close that page, have nothing (no application frame, no page window), like dreamweaver used to do, and then open a new file, it will be sized to the entire monitor, whether or not you have created a new workspace.
