Uploading files via FTP on DW6 has lots of problems and for multiple files often doesn't work at all. I now have to use DW5 or an FTP application to do these tasks, where it works flawlessly!
I am so glad to hear there are other people who are experiencing this upload problem with Dreamweaver CS6. I thought it was something with my computer. It seems to change the permissions for random files and then they're gone until I can ferret out what damage it's done. It's really messing me up. I'm now using the file manager on the server at my assorted hosting control panels to upload files, but I'm hoping they get this fixed soon. It was always very reliable in previous versions.
This is a user-to-user forum, not a support site. If you want Adobe's attention, you should file an official bug report below.

Hi Chandra,
The Dreamweaver team is investigating the issue, but identifying the cause (which is required to fix it) has been difficult because they haven't reproduced the issue on their test machines.
If you're willing to share a test set of FTP credentials, or else have a Connect session with them to share your screen, it would go a long way toward resolving this issue. Send Raghavan an e-mail if you can help in this way: raghavan_at_adobe_dot_com
As Nancy mentions, submitting a bug report is highly recommended as well.
I have the same problem.
Every time I upload a file to the remote server it changes the permisssions. It's happedned on every site I've been working on, on lots of different servers. So it's definately a CS6 probelm. What I've been doing is going to the file in the remote server, right-hand clicking on it select Set Permissions then click Read All, Write All, Execute All. it sets everything to 777 and the browser can read it again. It's a pain in the arse to do all the time but it's the only thing that I found that works. I just submitted a bug report so hopefully there's a fix out soon.
I'm not happy at all how this discussion progresses. - I don't want some roundabout solutions. I want Adobe to fix this problem that it works simple and straight forward. - I filed an official bug report and wrote to Raghavan on June 18 as suggested from Diane Burton from Adobe and I haven't received a repy to my email.
@chandra111,
In the other thread, (the one you weren't interested in), there is more discussion of a preliminary patch. You might want to revisit that thread for updates.
