Hi
I recently attempted to upload a video to you tube. Following this failed attempt I am unable to progress past the first upload screen.
I select "Upload Video to YouTube", and select an appropriate video type (e.g. Flash video for YouTube... although I have tried most types now).
I then click Next and then immediately get the message
Failed
Sorry, an error occur during the uploading process. Please try again later.
This has now been occuring for several days.
At this point in the process there isn't even an option to change username and password!
I have tried Edit, Preference, Web Sharing, Refresh, but again with no change.
Any suggestions?
It seems that Youtube has changed some things, yet again. Several users have commented that they now need to sign in with their Google account first.
With your Web browser, can you sign in to your YouTube account?
If you can, then you can Export/Share the PrE Project to a file (this FAQ Entry will provide you with some info), and then manually upload it to YouTube, until you are able to sort things out with regard to PrE and the YouTube sign in.
Good luck,
Hunt
Thanks Bill
What is worrying is that Elements is falling over BEFORE it gets to the page where it shows username/password with the option to change YouTube account details. It's as though it isn't even bothering to communicate with YouTube, or can't find YouTube. As I metioned I have refreshed web sharing but no change.
I use exactly the same setting with Cyberlink Powerdirector 8 and it works fine, and I can also upload through a web browser.
I have checked that my anti-virus software has not been blocking Adobe's access to the internet, and have even disabled my virus software to see if this makes any difference but to no avail.
I had a look on the Google/Youtube site and there they suggest (less politely) that it is a problem with Adobe and not YouTube. Since Powerdirector works with the same settings......
I have now loaded elements onto a laptop and Elements DOES transfer to YouTube (hence the username/password supplied does work). Sadly the laptop is not up to serious use with Elements and I need to get the desktop up and running.

I just got this email from Google. The troubleshooting steps only apply to a mail client. I'm pretty sure the unauthorised attempt, which contained the correct user naem and password, was Premiere Elements. I think Google has made me a victim of its ubiquity. As though managing passwrods were not already difficult enough.
Someone recently tried to use an application to sign in to your Google Account, xxxxxx@gmail.com. We prevented the sign-in attempt in case this was a hijacker trying to access your account. Please review the details of the sign-in attempt:
Wednesday, 20 June 2012 22:27:06 GMT
IP Address: 76.74.170.7 (adobe.com)
Location: Unknown Location
If you do not recognise this sign-in attempt, someone else might be trying to access your account. You should sign in to your account and reset your password immediately. Find out how at http://support.google.com/accounts?p=reset_pw
If this was you and you want to give this application access to your account, complete the troubleshooting steps listed at http://support.google.com/mail?p=client_login

Hi Bill
I still cannot upload to You Tube.
I have tried the preferences reset (Ctrl + Alt + Shift after new project) - no change.
I have un-installed and re-installed Elements (although I did leave preferences) - no change.
I have changed Google back to single sign-on - no change.
How can I clear my You Tube settings in Premier Elements if it will not show me the screen????
I am reasonablely sure that this is NOT a problem at Google - You Tube's end since I have other applications that DO upload to You Tube.
If I could clear out the You Tube settings in Premier Elements I might stand a chance of trying other accounts/passowrds.

MORE INFO.
So this is a You Tube problem is it ??? NOT!!!!
I have just un-installed and re-installed from scratch, losing all settings and deactivating/reactivating the product.
I have now created a short (10s) video and YES I can now get to the Share, You Tube, username and password page, and guess what it works!
Attempted to upload a second time GUESS WHAT, back to the "Sorry, an error occur during the uploading process. Please try again later" error message.
Sorry but to me that STRONGLY suggests that Premiere Elements has thrown a wobbly!!
So is there an easy way to reset the You Tube settings without spending an hour uninstalling and reinstalling????
Interesting, and thanks for reporting.
I never use a direct upload to YouTube, so will be of little help. However, many here do, so they will need to comment. I have no idea why it would work initially, with the new install, but not a second time. Sorry.
Good luck, and Steve, Neale, or another user will need to weigh-in.

I have just spent a very productive 30 minutes using the "Chat" service to Balachander. He (?) "talked" me through the following....
Ensure Premiere Elements is CLOSED.
Navigate to start and then type %appdata% in the search files and programs field and hit enter.
Navigate to and open the Adobe Folder
Rename the folder Premiere Elements 10.0 to Premiere Elements 10.0 old
Open the Premiere Elements folder
Rename the folder 10.0 to 10.0 old
Open Premiere Elements, then through Share, You Tube etc.... Set the Username and password. And Hey Presto it works..... and STILL works!
I am guessing the Premiere Elements must have corrupted some of its upload setting and this process has caused Premiere Elements to re-initialise the settings.
Many thanks to Balachander
I have the same problem and executed the same solution. I logged on OK the first time, but the video, once rendered, failed and subsequent logins fail.
I suspect it has something to do with my Google Account being protected by verification and whilst the initial application specific password works for the initial login, the time taken for the video to render means the account logs out before the upload begins. In theory, my standard login should then work with this application but it doesnt. I went through all the drama of changing my google account password but it doesnt make any difference. So, I will just have to upload manually until Adobe sort this issue out.
