Cannot get trial Illustrator or InDesign to open

I have successfully installed InDesign and Illustrator CS6 but cannot get the programs to open. I'm operating in Windows 7 and each time I attempt to open, it says "Adobe InDesign has stopped working" and forces me to close the program. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing, and re-starting the computer but nothing has worked. Suggestions?

The instal logs might be a good place to start. http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5 -cs5.html
If something went wrong during the install, that will be listed here. Maybe that'll shed some light.

You coudl also check that you're running with sufficient permissions. You probably are, because you managed to install, but no harm in checking.
You coudl also try creating a new user account and then install.
