ADOBE MUSE INSTALL WON'T WORK

Jun 18, 2012 6:03 PM

I have a subsciption to creative cloud. I downloaded and installed all apps through the application manager. I started a project in adobe muse. Muse is now sending me a window that says: "A NEW VERSION IS NOW AVAILABLE. ADOBE MUSE CRITICAL UPDATE. TO APPLY THE FIXES AND KEEP USING ADOBE MUSE, CLICK THE INSTALL BUTTON BY JUNE 14, 2012. I DID JUST THAT SEVERAL TIMES. THE INSTALL NEVER FINISHES!!!! I'VE RUN IT OVRNIGHT AND IT NEVER FINISHED. NOW I CAN'T ACCESS ADOBE MUSE.

What do I do? I have called the customer support and they can't help and say to go to adobe muse forums. yeah thanks, that's so not helpful. i paid adobe good money and now can't fix a problem with their product and use it...THAT IS CALLED THEFT!

when i click the install later button is says this beta muse 30 day trial is up. I HAVA SUBSCRIPTION...NOT A TRIAL.

ANY THOUGHTS BEFORE I CALL THE COPS TO REPORT THIS THEFT???

Are you on Mac or Windows? If you're on Mac, please run the "Uninstall Adobe Muse" app found in Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers. If you're on Windows, please uninstall Adobe Muse via the Control Panel.

Once Muse is uninstalled, please run the Adobe Application Manager and install Adobe Muse.

Even over a very slow connection, the entire install process for Muse takes well under 5 minutes. If it hangs at some point and starts taking longer than that, there's a bug and/or something in the setup of your machine or network environment that's interfering with the update. If the above steps for re-install don't work, we'll work with you to debug futher.

    hello,

    I have the same problem.
I completely erased Muse (it is no longer in the adobe installers)

No matter how many times I install Muse, when I run it, it keeps saying my trial version stops working soon.

    Thank you for your solution.

    Hi,

    Please try this:

Step 1. Deactivate Muse from the Help menu option and remove the user preferences and then re-launch Muse and follow the onscreen prompts.

Step 2. Delete the opm.db file that can be found in the "OOBE" folder in below locations:

         on Mac: /Users/<yourusername>/Library/Application Support/Adobe

         on Windows XP: Drive:\Documents and Settings\<yourusername>\Local Settings\Application Data\Adobe

         on Windows 7: Drive:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Local\Adobe

Let me know if that helps.

    Regards,

    Abhishek Maurya

    Hello,

Could you please have a look at the forum post (http://forums.adobe.com/message/4762662#4762662)? I assume you are using Adobe Muse on a Mac machine.

Please refer to Comment # 29 by Colby. We had an issue with the Mac installer of Muse yesterday. Please follow the steps and the link that Colby has provided and let us know if it works fine for you or not.

    Regards,

    Sachin

We still have issues with the installer which is linked with Adobe Application manager and our team is working to get it fixed.

However I am able to download the installer using the link which is provided in the forum post. As soon as you click on it, it download the .dmg file (installer file) for Adobe Muse.

Please try clicking on this link and check in downloads of the browser if the .dmg file is getting downloaded or not.

    Regards,

    Sachin
