Is there a way to skip the printing instructions dialog when packaging a project?
We don't use it and since the Instructions dialog can be accessed from the Package dialog, it seems like an uneccessary, additional step. If we decided that we needed to add a instructions file, we could access it from Package dialog.
Scripting lets you skip dialogs. If you are using OSX you could save this script and attach it to a key command.
tell application "Adobe InDesign CS6"
set thefolder to choose folder with prompt "Select a Package Folder"
set thePath to thefolder
set user interaction level of script preferences to never interact
set myDoc to active document
--copies fonts, graphics, profiles, updates graphics and does not ignore preflight problems
package to thePath with copying fonts, copying linked graphics, copying profiles, updating graphics, including hidden layers and creating report without ignore preflight errors
set user interaction level of script preferences to interact with all
