Content generation error.  Help, please;))

Jun 21, 2012 1:59 PM

Just installed the brand new folio builder panel

12.2.4.20120611

Every 5.5 file I open in ID 6 says 'converted' -- so I save the files as 6.  That works fine --then, I update the files in my folio-- but when I reached a file with object states and overlay, here is the pop up message:

ERROR MESSAGE: Content generation error.

[Error: The assets for one or more overlays could not be located. Verify the assets used are available on disk, then update the article.]

WHERE do I have to put the assets? they have not moved from my last update-- and  I have had no problem with the upgrade to ID 6 + new panel until this message.  It doesn't happen with every page that contains object states and overlays, but I'd sure like to solve this problem!

THANKS SO MUCH!

So, we have this narrowed down to articles with MSOs?

Do you have any weird characters in the MSO or button names? I’ve had problems with ampersands in the past and I only use alpha numeric characters now.

Not file names…the names of the MSOs and buttons.

I don't believe MSOs are causing this error. Do you have any other overlays on the page? If so, select it, and look in the Overlays panel. You'll likely see a yellow triangle to indicate that the source overlay files are disconnected. It's especially common with image sequences, audio skins, and other overlays in which you target an assets folder.

Sounds like you didn’t save them as CS6 files. I honestly don’t know if that would cause a problem, though.
