Hi everybody,

I'm trying to create a button in a pop up menu that allows the user to switch from subtitles on to subtitles off while the movie plays, without start it from the beginning.

Practically the same way I use the subtitles button on the remote control.

Is ti possible?

I use encore CS5 for Mac and I have only 1 subtitle track.

Thanks

You will have to have two buttons for this. One to make the subtitles off and the other to make it on.

    Select the button.

Go to properties panel of the button and there select "Specify Link..." option from the link drop down.

Set the target to any button on the same menu and change the subtitle to OFF from subtitle drop down.

Do the opposite for the other button.

If you set the link of the button to itself in pop up menu, (do not set the link to the timeline), then the video won't be interuppted.

If you set the link this way, the timeline playback would not be interuppted.

Nope, this is not supported in Encore as of now. You will have to press the Pop-up Menu button on remote control to switch it off the screen.
