I'm having the RAM preview problem (RAM preview needs two or more keyframe to preview) and trying to upgrade to 11.0.1. I've tried updating via Adobe Application Manager but it fails so I've gone to the direct download site on Adobe. After downloading the AfterEffectsTrial-11.0.1-mul-AdobeUpdate.dmg and running it, I'm getting a fail error code U44M2I218.
Anyone else having this problem or know how to decrypt the erorr code?
It thinks the update isn't applicable - for whatever reason. Most likely something ahs blocked/ damged the installer database. I recommend you wipe your system clean using the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, then reinstall all apps, making sure you apply the updates that are most important to you first before something goes wrong again...

So, after 3 1/2 hours I've uninstalled CS6 Master Collection, cleaned with the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool, reinstalled the MC, talked with Adobe support and fixed the problem.
I had to install the update in Safe Mode on my Mac (hold shift key while rebooting) then log in through the root user to run After Effects. But now I've rebooted in regular mode, logged in as myself, and AE CS6 v11.0.1.12 is running beautifully. It even RAM previews much quicker than before!
Thanks for your help and the suggestions.
I'm on a mid 2007 iMac 2GHZ, 4GB RAM, OS 10.6.8 with 14.4Mbps download speed.
