I'm having a problem viewing the library, styles and layers in Encore CS6. A couple of the templates work, such as wedding however none of the rest do. I have the library folder in the right place, and everything in there is PSD, PSDLOC and EMLOC files. But they just aren't showing up. Any help?
Have you used the Resource Central Library Content Method? That is the only reliable way.
You may need to remove your earlier attempts from the library folder first.
Your folder screenshot looks nothing like my working Library folder - this suggests to me that you have not used the Resource Central Method. My Library folder just has 9 folders in it, running from Corporate through to Wedding
The screenshot is taken inside one of those 9 folders, technology. I have all 9 folders there will all the files inside. They just dont appear in Encore. However if i change the file extension and take off the LOC bit they seem to work. I cant do the central library content method as the file is too big for me to download.
My initial aim was to solve the problem without having to download and install the 1.7gb file. However it appears that the solution was to delete all the library and styles files and bite the bullet and download and install the Resource Central Library. So for anyone reading that method works and gives you all the menus, templates and buttons etc for Encore CS6.
Hmmm...took a while but my library items are finally uploaded in Encore. You'd think Adobe would make a tutorial or something to make this easier. What a hassle. Very disappointed with Adobe for making this so confusing. This is an expensive product so it should be customer friendly to download.
Adobe: beware.
When a great company forgets it's founding philosopy and principles that made it great, it falls apart.
It WAS necessary to me. I noticed that by monitoring those folders and got it when Encore was initializing the menus. Some of them where showing up in the Library (i.e. Halloween) then I went into that folder and it was renamed! Then I made it with all the rest and it worked like a charm.
