Can you try updating the software from the new user account?

Me too, I've tried via the application itself updating and downloading the update packages. Both give me the same error.

Any news from Adobe???

I posted a similar expereince yesterday and updated it today -- different error codes, but same general problem with not being able to update in CS6 suite.

I would recommend reviewing Troubleshoot update issues | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-update-issues-cs5-cs5.html.  Please feel free to respond to this thread if you have any questions regarding the steps listed within the document.

There are no CS6 versions avaliable for some crucial applications like InDesign or Illustrator. So I can't manually update and have to rely on the AAM to update them.

Although maybe a little late for the OP, I had the same problem, after disabling User Account Control in Windows 7 Accounts I was able to install the updates.  You could try first to run the Adobe Updater in Admin mode  "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\OOBE\PDApp\core\PDapp.exe"
