Desired Result: Add course navigation from a "jump" slide using three click boxes. Each click box takes you to a different slide. On click, each click box will 1) have specific object to ease out to the left 2) jump to specific slide
What I Have Done: I have built an advnaced action where if the user clicks a click box, the object eases out and it jumps to slide. This works, however, the "jump" is too fast and the Ease to Left effect is cut short.
Is there a way to another advanced action to the click box to slow the side exit?
Any other ideas to acheive my desired result?
Also, what eactly does the Ease parameter control? I see that you can change it from 0 to 100.
Thank you in advance for your help!
In the separate Advanced Actions for each object clicked suggest you use Continue instead of the Jump to Slide action and have the Continue as the final clause in the action. You may be able to achieve the navigation effect you want by setting a user variable according to which slide you need to jump to and then using this variable value on a conditional action On Slide Enter of the slide following the menu slide. Basically i'm suggesting that the Jump to Slide action gets done on the following slide, not the Menu slide. I haven't tried to do this myself. But it may be the only way to allow enough time for your ease out effect to complete before the jump to slide is performed.
Ease is how the movement is slowed down towards the end (positive values) or accelerated (negative values). It is rather subtle for short motion paths.
If you apply the effect by advanced actions, you cannot change the motion path for the easing, unless you create a custom effect to use in the action.
Since it is not possible to 'time' in an advanced action, you need indeed to use Continue instead of jumping to a slide. It is also possible to trigger an action by the On Exit event of the slide in that case, since you are sure that the last frame will be reached. You have to put the pausing point of the click boxes so that the total effect can be played, for the default Ease out that will be at least 2 secs.
