I've tried 3 times to download the Illustrator. Each time I've waited for more than 6 hours and then something comes on the screen saying - like last time - "The machine is about to restart. Please restart and then continue with the download." Where do I find the download - I've searced in my entire computer and there is no folder that has anything in it. I found 2 empty folders named Adobe Illustrator.
What's going wrong.?
The Adobe Download Assistant prompts you for the location where you want to save the downloaded files. If you did not change the selection, by default it will download in your user folder. Check in your user folder and see if a folder has been created, and if there are some files there.
You'll need to make sure that you have write permissions the folder you select to download to. (The download location is different from the Install location).
I found Adobe Illustrator in the user file. I can open it, but it won't
"run". All I have is a bunch of exe, and other files - oh, and a disc
like thing that gives me nothing. As badly as I'd like to try AI and
possibly buy it (I'm a patent draftsperson), I'm beginning to think this
isn't worth all the effort.
