importing dng files to LR4

I hope that someone here can help me out. I started editing a session on my laptop using LR3. I now want to move them to my desktop and edit them on LR4. (I know I need to make them the same version, but alas...) When I try to import them, they are greyed out and no allowing me to import. I saved them as dng files on a flash drive to move them over. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

Are the files already imported into your desktop LR4 catalog - perhaps at another location?
