Save as Adobe PDF issue, Mac OS Lion

Since I've migrated to Lion (Mac OS 10.7.4) I receive the Automator-error message:

"An error occurred while saving the PDF file."

 

I've started from a complete empty disk and installed Lion.

I've installed my Acrobat 9 Pro from dvd. Step by step I've updated to 9.5.1.

I've installed and updated all programs (and fonts) from dvd or company-site.

 

I have tried to save as Adobe PDF in all installed programs (Office, Mail, Safari, VectorWorks, NisusWriter, …): same error.

I've repaired permissions, I've changed read/write permissions, … Nothing helps.

 

Save as PDF (non acrobat) works without any problem.

 

I prefer to use Acrobat to generate the pdf's.

 

In the past I used Acrobat 9 Pro as a printer (10.5) and via save as Adobe PDF (10.6) without any problem.

 

Suggestions?

    You need to go the the Print Dialog box. Click on PDF button and choose the Save As Adobe PDF button.

    Indeed, Michael: that's the way I did it all the time with success using Snow Leopard + Adobe Pro 9 (print dialog, PDF-button left under, save as Adobe pdf).

     

    Under Lion, this same procedure gives me the errormessage.

    I can't do anything with the answer "AN error occurred". I expect good software telling me the details of / solutions to the error.

    Hello - I am having the exact same issue. I have installed all of the updates (wow, that was a bit painful) and still recevie the exact same error.

    Hello, Bryankvincent,

     

    I started all over again. I did exactly the same thing:

    I erased my hard disk. I installed Lion (again). I installed Acrobat (again). I did all the 19 updates, one by one (again).

    Now it works. Ouf.
