Exporting to 1080x1920?

Jun 25, 2012 12:24 AM

Hi,

I recently took alot of footage on my iPhone 4S, however all in portrait therefore in 1080x1920.

Importing the footage in PP was easy enough by dropping it onto the New Item, PP matched the Sequence Settings of the footage.

However when i try to match the settings for exporting PP tries to export it to 1080x1080.

Has anybody successfully exported to 1080x1920 before?

Cheers

JIm

The only problem I foresee is that you have to turn your monitor or TV on its side to watch it.

I'm having the same issue, but but I am working with R3D footage. My dilogue box does not allow provide any of the correct settings, even after checking the "Match Sequence Settings" It chooses 1080x1080, shrinks the media to fit, which then has letterboxing left and right. Any help appreciated, thanks!

So I found that when you chose to export a H264 it allows the user to change the dimensions of the final output in the Video tab below, under "Basic Video Settings". I'm a little bummed this is only allowed in H264, and not as a quicktime (notice how it greys out).Seems odd, no?

Not at all. Who in his right mind would use QuiRcktime, which is only 32 bit, has numerous problems, like the gamma shift, etc.
