trouble downloading Flash

I have tried to download the new version of Flash unsuccessfully several times. I always receive the finished message ; than the screen saying "You have  successfully installed Flash." When I check my list of programs flash is not there. I followed the installation instructions completely; can you help me ?

What files do you have in

• C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash ?
• C:\WINDOWS\syswow64\Macromed\Flash ?

In Firefox type  about:addons  in the Address Bar; can you see Shockwave Flash, and is it enabled?

Can you see any Flash content on the Internet?  If not, what exactly do you see?
