PDF/URL links continues project when clicked on...

Hi all

I have put PDF and URL links into my project. What I want is for the user to click on these and read what comes up, then close either the PDF or URL link then go back into the project and click onto the next slide when ready.

At the moment, once one of the links has been clicked on either the PDF or URL opens up but the project continues onto the next slide, which is not what I want.

I'm sure there is a way to change this but I cannot see the setting.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

You may got the properties and where you type you link or locate PDF, next to it is a small dropdown, where you can select where would you like the link to open as well as to pause the project while user is going through the PDF/URL.

See the Screen Shot Below

--> You have to uncheck the option "Continue Playing the Project"

Hi Anjaneai

Thanks for that. For some of the click boxes it works but for some it has no effect for some reason

Do we know what the options Current, New, Parent and Top on the drop down menu mean? Maybe I could try one of these for the ones which are not responding to the Current setting.

Hmm That's strange, yes you may try to open them to a new window or perhaps try removing and adding a new Click Box on slides where it is not working.

Hi there

The options you mention are for when the presentation is presented from inside a frameset. The option you are interested in is the "Continue" option. You need to clear that option to keep the slide from continuing when the object is clicked.
