When I open up indesign or photoshop it tells me to sign in and so i click sign in now and i cant get on cause it tells me i'm not connected!!!!!
There can be several reasons why this error might be hapenning.

Are either of you utilizing a software firewall? If so are you able to provide an exclusion for PDApp.exe under Windows or the Adobe Application Manager on the Mac platform?
Currently running Windows Firewall – how do I locate the PDApp.exe?
If you are runnning Windows 7 64-bit you will be able to locate the PDApp.exe at C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\OOBE\PDApp\core\
