Is there a way to apply a button command to a clipping path..

Without it being applied to that clipping path's bounding box?

 

Or does a button have to be a standard shape?

    Buttons need to be rectangular in InDesign. The workaround is to create multiple buttons to form the shape you need.

    @Tim – the area of the button that reacts to tapping is always a rectangle.

    It's independent of its visible shape. That is true for DPS.

     

    In Flash you could use fancier shapes for that area.
    For HTML I'm not so sure…

    @Bob, I thought that was the case, I have done it that way before, but these are much more intricate shapes - so it's going to be a rather massive pain in the backside!

     

    @Uwe Thanks for that side thought! I was also thinking about html5, but I don't know how to code it - best get learning haha
