can i import an old incontext site into bc?

Jun 25, 2012 7:41 AM

Hi, we have a customer who had a site desiged back in2009, but was not made aware of changes to the original incontext change to business catalyst.

they recently tried to login via web page using the ctrl e comination, but it fails.

after a quick bit of research i understand it should have been imported into a bc partner control panel, a link from the old incontext site says there is a free partner sign up, as i cant find this ,i figure its long gone.

so in this case, do we

1. have to rewrite the web site?

2. sign up to bc and pay a montly fee?

3. get intouch with a partner who can do the import into there control panel

any help appreciated

pete

    Hi Pete,

    If the site is currently live you could have imported using the builder in the past but at the moment our "import site" feature is disabled.

    More details -> http://forums.adobe.com/message/4413345

    The only workaround is what's suggested in the previous thread which is to perhaps create a new site and FTP your current site files into the newly build site.

    Kind regards,

    -Sidney
