Required field has data but LC not seeing it

I have a form with a required field and if I enter data in the field and then click the Submit button I get an error saying that one or more required fields needs to be entered.

 

If I tab out of the field or if I press Enter the Submit wil work okay. So, apparently LC is not registering that an entry has been made if I just click the Submit button.

 

Any ideas on how to fix this?
