For the record, I have both Premiere Pro and Encore CS5. I have been experimenting recently with dynamic link and also experimenting with making a DVD with a clickable menu on Encore. I created a short project in Premiere, set up a dynamic link to Encore, and proceeded to work with the menu for several days. The whole process was fine; no problems. A few days ago, I opened the project in Encore, made some final changes, saved it, and then attempted to burn the media onto a DVD. It completed successfully. However, when I attempted to play it, the menus were totally functional and the actual chapters themselves were all red screens displaying the dreaded "media offline" error message.
Deepening the mystery even further, when I then re-opened the Encore file itself, the dynamically linked Premiere Pro timeline, which had a few hours earlier been totally fine, ALSO displayed the "media offline" error!
I did not move or edit or in any way alter the Premiere Pro file during this process. The link was functioning properly for several days, and it almost seems like the DVD attempt actually CAUSED the media offline problem. I am baffled. Any suggestions would be helpful!
Can you outline exactly what your I/O sub-system setup is, i.e. all of your HDD's, their connectin type, and what you have allocated where?
In general, the main causes of Media Offline, are:
Deleted files
Renamed files (anywhere in the full Path, which is absolute)
Permissions issues with HDD's

I am having the exact same issue. The odd thing is the main menu looks totally fine but the submenu (both are from Adobe templates) says "Media offline". This is on the burned DVD only. In Preview everything looks great. If I did move this file (which I don't believe I did), how do I re-connect it? This is incredibly frustrating. One thing to note, I edited the problem menu in Photoshop using Dynamic Link. Everything I added in Photoshop shows up on the DVD. It's just the background from Adobe that is offline. Very bizarre.
