When I try to download/install Adobe Reader, I get error message 1606: "Could not access network location %APPDATA%\." I am wondering what this refers to and how I can remedy the situtation.

Thanks for the URL. I am trying to wade thru the instructions, including registry backup and system restore. But at least this is close to what my problem is. Will keep at it.
