There was only a background layer which I converted to Layer 0. Dragging does not work because the trash basket stays dark. Also, if I select Layer 0 and then use the LAYERS pull down, DELETE is dark.
I did that and the trash can is still grayed out. I'm fairly confident at this point that my software has somehow become corrupted and, once I figure out how to, I will open a problem with Adobe. Thank you.
I want to delete the layer because I do not need the image any more. I also have other images that I need to delete as they are no longer needed. Thank you.
Select them (highlight them) in Organizer and hit the delete button on the keyboard. That will delete the images from the catalog. But they will remain on your hard drive unless you request removal at the same time.
