Adobe Flash Player not working

I have dowloaded the Adobe Flash Player, it tells me it is complete, but when I go to use it I get a message telling me to download again.  need help with this.

I have Microsoft Vista home edition 2007.  My web browser is Yahoo/Verizon..

I am using AVG as my anti-virus.

here is the information about my computer system and browser.....

I tried to download and install once again !!!!  the message comes back and tells me it is successful........but when I go to try to look at a video, I get this messag:  FLASH PLAYER UPGRADE REQUIRED....You must download the lateste version of the Adobe Flash Player to view this content....   I'm assuming that the version I'am downloading and installing is the latest......????????????????
