Inserting avi in to Framemaker

Hello

When I embed an avi file in to Framemaker, it never shows up in the created pdf.

I'm just doing it via File > Import > Object... selecting Create from File, picking the file and then OK.+

Anyone any ideas?

Not sure if that’s supported – check out Timesavers – I think it handles this sort of thing much better than native FM

As you’ve discovered, you can put it in your FM file; getting it out in a PDF is a whole different kettle of fish ;>)

BTW – OLE support has been gradually downplayed (for security concerns) for several years now; it’s no longer “best practices”
