Acrobat X does not start

I have CS6 design premium.

Everything is working currently.

In the last few days Acrobat X has stopped working.

When I click the icon or try to open a document the program fails to load.

It shows in task manager for about a half second then disappears.

Please offer a solution to this.

I own a legal, paid-for, copy of this software.

Thanks.

Yes, this seems a recurring error. Deaxctivate the suite from any of the programs, let it reactivate thereafter. Also consider soem of the advise here: Error "Licensing has stopped working" | Windows

I had the same issue with Adobe CS6 Standard on Windows 7.  The Adobe Live Chat guy had me fix it this way:

    • Go to  C:\program files(X86)\common files\Adobe\Adobe PCD\cache
    • Move (not copy) cache.db to desktop.
    • Open Photoshop CS6.
    • Click on Help > Deactivate.
    • In the opened window, click on Deactivate.
    • Close Photoshop, reopen it and you should be asked to activate it back. If so, follow instructions (provide adobe ID, serial #, etc.)
    • If you don't get the activate prompt, open Acrobat X. You should get the prompt to activate and a request for your adobe ID and serial number.
    • Once activated, Acrobat will work.

As a side, I'm not a huge fan of the new Acrobat interface. Looks a bit horsey and nothing like its slick CS6 bretheren.
