TLF Textfield clear loses padding...

Can anyone tell me why a tlf textfield with editible properties would look fine when the user types in it but when they submit the form and I clear it with:

 

myTextfield.text = "";

 

The next time they type in the field it loses all padding and is in the upper left corner and looks terrible. See attached:

    Have the same problem. Any suggestions?

    I found only one solutions: set instead of text = "" tlfMarkup - default markup string without any text
