How/where can I find OCR recognition files?

In Acrobat Pro Extended 9, I've successfully used OCR recognition.

However, I cannot find where the text files are located

Please direct me

When you apply OCR to a PDF, the text is created within the PDF itself, not in an external file.

If you use Searchable Image, it is applied to the page as an invisible layer of text, aligned with the image of the page.
If you use ClearScan, the page is converted into a custom font.

Sorry to be dim. How can I then save/export the text for editing/reformatting in another programme?
