This is running Mac OS 10.6.8 I have tried more than one app. Also tried different browsers.
I own several CS5 software versions and tried unistalling them. Still, every time I download the Adobe Application Manager and run it, nothing happens. It just quits.
Hi Kmontg2,
You might test to see if you get the same behavior when logged in under a new admin account.
I'm moving this thread over to our download/installation forum.

To have a better clue why the installation terminates you can check the log files, but of course first try to install under a new account. That is the easy solution.
Under mac you can create a account by the following steps: http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/install-or-run-applications- new.html
Log information during install can be found here: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5 -cs5.html
If you like to see more of the installation process you can also download and install the software as a trial and activate by the use of your adobeID:

Good luck installing your software!
Thanks for your help with this, I decided to intall trial versions. From what I can tell – I did a number of installations – sometimes I was allowed to register the software with my Creative Cloud subscription and sometimes I was not.
I have gotten emails from Adobe on three installations welcoming me to the trial versions, so I will try to go back and activate them w/ my CC subscriptions.
