I am running Premiere Elements on Windows 7 64-bit. I have finished editing a full HD project and now want to add a disc menu template. I have set the appropriate markers. However, when I drag the template to the monitor window, nothing happens - regardless of which template I try it with. Any ideas?
Welcome to the forum.
When you go to Create Menus, and choose your desired Menu Set, then press Apply, what happens? If that does not work, Dbl-click on a Menu Set. Does that add the Menu Set to the BD?
Thank you for your responses. I chose a HD compatible Menu Set, but neither clicking on apply nor double-clicking the Menu Set will move it to the window on the left-hand side.
Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Go to Windows Update and ensure you have the latest updates, including, at the least, SP1. Also, make sure that you also manually download all of the non-critical updates that don't load automatically.
Finally, go to Apple.com and ensure you have the latest version of Quicktime.
You'll be amazed the difference these updates will make!
Thanks for the suggestion, Steve
My software is up to date, however, given that I manually check for updates quite frequently. There must be something else preventing me from doing a simple drag and drop.
Thank you for that screen-cap. Other than my not being able to read German (obviously you can), I see only one thing, that I would change, BUT it should not affect what you are trying to do - there appears to be a Stop Marker at the end of the Timeline. You will want to remove that, or it will most likely cause issues, when you go to author.
I expected to see something obvious, but I do not. Normally, at that spot, the Apply, should add the Menu Set to that little "box" below your Menu Editing Monitor. The Dbl-click should open it in Preview. Neither seems to be working for you.
It also appears that AutoPlay (or the GR equivilent) is grayed out, as it should be, with no Menu Sets selected.
Question: is your OS, Keyboard and Program language the same?
Other than that Stop Marker, which you have not encountered yet, I really see nothing wrong, and can think of no reason for this to not work.
Wish that I had something more for you, but maybe others, with younger eyes, will, and maybe see something that I am just missing.
