My Elements 8 won't let me work with CR2 raw files from my Powershot 100.

I just bought a Canon Powershop 100 because it takes raw images.  However, the CR2 files are not recognized by my Elements 9.  I have updated to ACR6.6.  What do I have to do to edit these files in Elements?  Thanks.

    ACR 6.6 is not compatible with PSE 9 . Please check this   : http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/camera-raw-compatible-applic ations.html

    The camera that you have will work with ACR 6.6 but for that you should have PSE 10

    Just so I'm clear, does this mean that the CR2 raw files created by my Canon Powershot 100 will be compatible with Elements 10 so that I can edit them in ACR? Many thanks for your help. Jerry

    You have three alternatives Jerry:

     

    (1) Upgrade to PSE 10. (2) Download and install the free Adobe DNG converter to convert your CR2 files to the Adobe Raw format and the files will open in all versions of PSE (keep your original CR2’s as backup) or (3) Use Canon DPP bundled with your camera.

    Thanks for the help. I downloaded the Adobe converter and the converted CR2 files work fine on my version of ACR. All is well.
