Flash Player download canceling itself

Everytime I try to install flash player, the download cancels itself.  When I go into the download file and "retry," it downloads but will not allow me to install.  I am running Windows XP 2002, SP3 with Firefox as my browser.  I have tried numerous times, all with the same result.  So I uninstalled all of my Adobe files and rebooted the computer, but that did not help.  Now I have no flash player, reader, or acrobat; and the computer will not allow a download of any of them.  Can anyone help me?

    Hello,

    Welcome to Adobe Forums,

You can download Adobe Flash Player 11.3 from here :

    http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/i nstall_flash_player_11_active_x.exe

Note : Download the installer and save it on Desktop, close all the browser windows and then install it

    Thanks,
    Vikram

How does it "not allow" you to install - do you get an error message?  Are you installing as an Administrator user?

P.S. the link that Vikram posted earlier is the offline installer for Internet Explorer, the offline installer for the Firefox plugin is http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/i nstall_flash_player_11_plugin.exe

The name of the file that you downloaded into the Downloads folder is install_flash_player_11_plugin.exe

The size of the file should be 9,815,752 bytes = 9,586 KB = 9.36 MB; can you check if the size of your file is exactly the same (right-click | Properties)?

On that same panel, near the bottom, there is a Security section; can you try to click on the 'Unblock' button on the right?

If all this does not help, can you try to download the alternate MSI installer, and see if this does the job: http://download.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/i nstall_flash_player_11_plugin.msi
