Do you hear audio in either of these test videos?

    Test 2

Javier, the first test is actually using the HTML5 YouTube player.  You can verify this by right clicking on the video and you should see "About HTML5" at the bottom.  If audio does not work in either test, then the problem isn't with Flash.  Instead, I suspect you're having an issue with your operating system's audio mixer or Chrome.  With Windows, you can actually specify different audio playback devices on a per application level.  Maybe something has set Chrome to output to a device other than your default?  Do you hear audio if you listen to just audio content in the browser?

Faolon, did you try the tests I posted above?

Upgrading to Google Chrome 20.0.1132.34 beta-m (& therefore upgrading my version to Flash 11,3,300,257) resolved my problem.

Quick update.  The video / audio team is still hard at work trying to fix the audio problems introduced in 11.3.  Please see this post for updates: Flash Player 11.3 Audio Update (Updated)

    Thanks,

    Chris

Can hear the audio fine in Test 1, nothing in Test 2.

I have used the Adobe Flash Uninstaller to remove all Flash from my HDD for both IE and other browsers (FF and OP, both fully up to date as of 6/25/12)

I reinstalled from Adobe's official page, now running the latest...still nothing for audio. I have also checked in Control Panel to make sure nothing has appropriated the sound settings... so far, all I know is with Flash, I have no audio now. This manifested at the update of 11.2.202.235 and now I believe the latest update (yesterday) is .300? I was excited when I saw the update, thinking the audio problem was solved, but it's not.

FWIW: Windows Vista Home Premium is my OS. I use FF primarily, but once in a while, Opera or IE, have not ever downloaded or used Chrome.

    Thanks.

    LJ

Chris, thank you very much... followed the steps you outlined-- for once, someone online giving clear instructions, kudos! The result is that having set the output quality from DVD to CD has made all the difference, and now I can hear flash movies, videos, and the audio in my flash-based locally-run software.

I do indeed appreciate your help! And also the additional information as to what's been going on... this should at least throw the dog/geek a bone for all of us out here that dig that sort of stuff!

    Muchas gracias, amigo!
