Was DW CS6 tested before release?

Jun 27, 2012 10:36 AM

Sorry if the title of this post is perhaps strong, too but I rely upon DW and FW for the work I do in my business, and I am becoming very unhappy about the DW CS6 behavior.  Last week I subscribed to Creative Cloud, and while it appears attractive, overall I am beginning to regret my choice.  Should'a just stayed with CS5.

I am happy to submit bug reports, and have done so twice, but I just don't have the time.

Specific examples: today, editing an existing cfm file, attempt to insert an HTML anchor tag using Control-Shift-A.  Nothing happens. Try the Insert menu, and many of the menu choices which should be available are disabled!    I opened the Insert window (Ctrl-F2), from which I have no trouble inserting an empty anchor text!

I tried to do find/replace of a simple string in a selected block of editable source code, and I get a beep and just the 1st target gets replaced.  Repeating the process does NOT replace subsequent target strings.

Last one: the install proccess was terribly incomplete.  Almost none of the DW CS5 settings and customizations were incorporated in CS6, my custom snippets were not included, and none of the extensions were installed,  This may be viewed as minor to some, but if you're able to customize the IDE, a product version upgrade should not ignore all those little tweaks.

Is anyone else seeing these issues, or did I just get a bad installation (no installation errors were displayed).
