we're using Dreamweaver CS5.5, Version 11.5 Build 5366
Our user can't seem to Save his work. When he clicks on File > Save, nothing happens. the only way he's able to save is if he Save As... or if he closes DW and it asks if he wants to save.
We've tried reinstalling as well as making sure it has the latest update.
As well, the Title text field doesn't update any changes. He actually has to go into the coding window to change the Title.
Does anyone have a fix for this?
Possibly a permissions problem with the OS.
Thanks for the reply Nancy. The user is able to save other files onto the C: as well as the DW files. The issue is, he cant just "Save" the. He has to "Save As..." or close the file before he's prompted if he wants to save. When he presses Save, nothing happens and the change isn't reflected in the left window pane.
I still think this is fundamentally a permissions problem.
Are the files "Read Only"? In Windows Explorer (File Manager), right-click and select Properties.
When you SaveAs same name in DW, do you get a warning that this will replace an existing file?
Yup, the user has full Admin rights on his machine (including desktop). The files are not "read only" and when we SaveAs, we do get the 'replace existing file' warning.
The Save button literally does nothing.
