Editing a Portfolio

Using Acobat Pro X. After saving a portfolio the 'edit' option disappears. This a major issue as it means to make any amendments to the portfolio I have to re-create it from scratch. Is there a way around this?

    When you open the portfolio, it opens in the editable mode. Click on Layout tab and make the changes. You can check the preview by clicking on the Preview button.

    That's the problem. It doesn't open in the editable mode. There are no options. It's like a PDF. Uneditable.

    I'd be happy to send you a screen shot. I've assembled a portfolio over several days and aren't game to save it incase I need to make a correction. If I do need to make make a correction it's back to the start to create a portfolio. Problem is I need to publish this portfolio.

    Check the properties bar. Does it have an Edit button in it (not a tab at the right, where there might be only SHARE, but following the icons at the left)?

    Nope.  That didn't show up anything either.  Doesn't matter what I do, once I save the portfolio it's uneditable.  I downloaded the trial version to another computer and when I creatd a portfolio on it and saved it the portfolio was editable from the saved file.  This really wrecking my head.  HELP......

    Disregard.  After much soul searching I have worked out the problem.  If you save the document and open it from it's saved position it's not editable.  If you open it from Adobe Acrobat though it is.  Thanks all the same.
