How to make a book cover for epubs? My design has text that is floating every where!

    Do it in Photoshop. Save as JPG.

    Alternative method: If you're using InDesign CS5.5 or 6.0, you can place the image and type on the first page of the publication. Group them together. Choose Object > Object Export Options. Check Custom Rasterization. Set the resolution to 300 ppi. Check Insert Page Break After the image.

     

    When exporting the EPUB, choose Rasterize First Page for the Cover option.

    sorry...I am a receent college grad I guess I am too use to instructural rules like only using photoshop for photos and using indesign for layout. That why I asked about type...

    The cover is going to be rasterized anyway. I prefer to let Photoshop handle that but Steve's method is perfectly valid.
