Reinstallation Crashes

CS2 programs were, at first, crashing when more than one was open at a time.  Then, they needed to be relaunched and reset.  Now, reinstallation is crashing!  Please, help.

    For us to help you, you need to provide much more information. What operating system? What computer configuration?

     

    CS2 is now quite old, coming out in April 2005, so it's probably incompatible with many modern computers and operating systems.

    It used to work.  I have OSX 10.5.8.

    Obvious things to try:

     

    1) Sign on as a different user. If things are now working, you have a preference problem.

    2) If it doesn't work as any user, download a copy of Applejack for OS 10.5. Let it go through its paces. Checking for disk corruption, permission issues, and caches. If that doesn't do the trick let us know. If you don't like Applejack, you can try Onyx, but since Applejack runs before the system is fully booted it can fix errors that Onyx cannot.

    I took it to The Apple Store and they think that it's the Adobe Installer file.
