Scene Cycling

Hi All,

 

I have a flash movie contanins 15-20 scenes. And am navigating the scnes based on the back end systems. I have a backend system and it keep sending the scene name based on that i am navigating into the scenes. Now, the problem is the flash movie keep playing accorss the scene some time even I have stop command in each scene.  does any one know what is the causes?

 

I am using Flash CS5.0 and puplish as flash version 9.0 since my device support only flash player version less than 10.0.

    gotoAndPlay(1,"scene");

     

    or

     

    gotoAndStop(1,"scene");

    Sure. I am using like that,

     

    case 'scene1':
    gotoAndPlay("scene1");
    break;

    scene1 is the frame label i set it in flash.

    Use:

     

    case 'scene1':

         gotoAndStop(1,"scene1");

    break;

     

     

    STOP INSTEAD PLAY

    Thanks for your reply. I tried to gave these one also but the problem is not happening all the time. I mean that scene cycling across the scenes its happening some times not all the times. I dont know why and root causes.

    With Action script 2 I spent a lot, especially with the gotoAndPlay Scenes.
    I remember it was like I could not recognize either the names of the scenes and that will cause problems

    The order of the arguments differs between AS2 and AS3, so make sure you are ollowing them properly...

     

    AS2:  gotoAndPlay(scene, frame);

     

    AS3: gotoAndPlay(frame, scene);
